He obtained his PhD in 2023 at UC Santa Barbara under the supervision of David Berenstein, followed by a postdoctoral position at Trinity College Dublin in the group of Marius de Leeuw. One of the driving ideas behind his work is the AdS/CFT correspondence and, more generally, the connection between large N gauge theories and quantum gravity. A key question is to understand the emergence of geometry from systems with large numbers of degrees of freedom. Previously, he has worked on nonperturbative approaches to defect conformal field theories, particularly those connected with integrable models, and on developing techniques for computing protected correlation functions in holography. More recently, he has also been interested in integrable systems with long- and medium-range interactions, such as spin systems with categorical symmetries.
